At The Tuftista, custom work begins with a conversation: your ideas, your interior, your atmosphere. I work slowly and intentionally, transforming your vision into a tactile wool tapestry designed to reflect your life, your style, and your energy.

The Process

Step 1 – Share your idea

Send me a note with your idea, inspiration images, or a photo of your space - the more I see, the more I can capture the light, textures, and feeling that make it truly yours.

Step 2 – Moodboard & samples

I create a moodboard, sketches, and send yarn samples for your approval - a tangible preview of the softness, tones, and structure your piece will carry into your home.

Step 3 – Crafting

Once we agree on the design, I begin the making process. You’ll receive photo updates along the way, so you can watch your piece come to life.

Step 4 – Payment

The planning fee is 2000 DKK. This amount is included in the final price of your piece - it covers the concept creation, sketches, moodboard, and material sourcing. If we do not proceed to a full order, this fee is non-refundable.

Once you approve the design and we confirm your order, a 50% deposit of the agreed total is required before I begin crafting. The remaining 50% is paid upon delivery or collection.

This structure ensures that your design is exclusively developed for you, with dedicated time and handcraft invested from the very first step.

Step 5 – Timeline

The lead time is typically 2–6 weeks, depending on size, yarn colours, and availability from my suppliers. If you have a special deadline in mind, I will always do my best to meet it.

Extra – Why a planning fee?

I believe that every custom piece deserves careful thought, planning, and the freedom to explore ideas together before the first stitch is made.

The planning fee ensures that I can dedicate this time entirely to your project - selecting the right yarns, refining colours, and shaping the mood so that the final piece feels as if it has always belonged in your home.

If we continue to the making stage, this fee becomes part of the final price. If not, it covers the work and materials already invested in bringing your concept to life.

Installation Help

For framed or rectangular works, I’ll recommend appropriate screws and wall fittings.
For organic, sculptural pieces, I’ll include a printed hanging guide with a layout template to help with exact wall placement.
