Yelda - Wool Sculpture of Resilience
Yelda is a wet felted wool sculpture that defies gravity, rising with quiet strength and sculptural grace. Handcrafted in Copenhagen from Danish Māori wool and rare grey pej horsehair, it blends organic softness with architectural presence.
Shaped entirely by hand using a complex resist-felting technique, this one-of-a-kind piece emerges through over six hours of meditative work - no machines, only warm water, olive soap, and human touch.
Its name, Yelda, comes from Persian tradition: the crescent moon closest to the winter solstice, a symbol of endurance, transformation, and new light.
At 53 × 33 × 15 cm, Yelda is designed for contemporary, minimalist, and Japandi-inspired interiors. More than decor, it is a tactile embodiment of growth and resilience - a sculpture that holds space for reflection.
